New York Life Foundation:

The New York Life Foundation was the first major investor in ASAS’ high school success work, We Are Ready, a middle to high school transition program. With the Foundation’s support, We Are Ready has quadrupled the number of youth served since 2010 and has set thousands of students on the path to high school, college and career success. Beginning in 2014, ASAS and New York Life have significantly expanded our work together. With the support of the New York Life foundation, ASAS will expand to six new cities over three years. Through this campaign—the largest expansion project in ASAS’ history—New York Life will help ensure thousands more at-risk middle school students receive the support and resources they need to realize their potential. FOX Sports Networks:
Since 2010, FOX Sports Networks (FSN) has worked with After-School All-Stars to continue its Sports as a Hook programming with the goal of tackling the childhood obesity crisis by helping kids become more physically active and knowledgeable about healthy eating choices. The following FSN regions are actively involved through media support, volunteerism and field trips for ASAS students: FOX Sports Ohio, Fox Sports South, FOX Sports Florida, FOX Sports San Diego, and FOX Sports Southwest. The mission of the Harris Family Charitable Foundation is to improve lives and strengthen communities through the transformative powers of sport and enhanced wellness. The foundation’s generous three-year commitment is enabling ASAS to expand its reach throughout the northeast corridor, opening new schools in Newark, NJ; Philadelphia, PA; and Camden, NJ in 2016 and 2017.

With Windsong’s support of the We Are Ready, CampUs, and Sports as a Hook program in ASAS’ Los Angeles chapter, students at nearly 40 school across Los Angeles county have benefitted from programming that empowers them to take control of their academic careers and personal health. ASAS’ partnership with the Windsong Trust helps ensure that our students feel confident in their ability to graduate from high school, go on to college or join the workforce, and lead healthy, fulfilling lives.


GlaxoSmithKline (GSK):

GSK, a science-led global health care company with a mission to help people do more, feel better, and live longer, partners with After-School All-Stars to support STEM programs for low-income youth nationwide. GSK support helps ASAS bring coding, engineering, science, digital media, robotics, and other creative STEM offerings into classrooms, empowering the leaders of tomorrow about STEM career opportunities.


Internet Association:

The Internet Association represents America’s leading Internet companies and their global community of users. Proceeds from the Association’s annual gala in Washington, DC have been generously donated to support ASAS’ STEM-related programs, camps, and entrepreneurship programs every year since 2015.

With support from JCPenney Cares, ASAS is equipping young people to successfully transition from middle to high school through the We Are Ready national initiative. JCPenney Cares is committed to keeping kids safe, healthy and engaged beyond the classroom, and has teamed up with ASAS to engage students through year-round high school readiness curriculum, career exploration and college exposure, family engagement, summer learning opportunities and more. News Corp, a network of leading companies in the worlds of diversified media, news, education, and information services, partners with ASAS to educate and empower a skilled 21st Century workforce through our drop-out-prevention and career exploration programs, We Are Ready and Career Exploration Opportunities. By supporting these initiatives, News Corp helps ASAS increase the number of low-income students and youth of color earning high school diplomas and pursuing education and advanced training that leads to fulfilling, challenging, and long-term employment.


Teza, a science and technology-driven global quantitative trading business headquartered in Chicago, has partnered with ASAS since 2013, supporting the Program Directors’ Retreat and Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) CampUS Chicago programs. Anthem Foundation:

The Anthem Foundation, the philanthropic arm of health insurance company Anthem Inc., supports ASAS’ Sports as a Hook initiative in the San Francisco Bay Area and New Jersey as part of the Foundations’ Health Generations program.  The Anthem Foundation believes that targeting preventable health concerns by investing in programs like ASAS’ physical activity and nutrition education programming will help create a healthier generation of Americans.


Cisco is the worldwide leader in IT that helps companies seize the opportunities of tomorrow by proving that amazing things can happen when you connect the previously unconnected. In partnership with the MIND Research Institute, Cisco supports Spatial-Temporal (ST) Math learning, a game-based instructional software for K-12 designed to boost math comprehension and proficiency through visual learning, for ASAS students in Atlanta and North Texas. With Costco Wholesale’s support of the We Are Ready initiative, ASAS is enabled to determine best practices for helping students succeed in the classroom and be prepared for high school. Specifically, Costco’s supports has equipped ASAS to train our We Are Ready staff on program innovation, implementation, partnerships, and evaluation, and connect chapters with resources in their local communities, so that we improve the quality of We Are Ready implementation and, consequently, youth outcomes.
