Juan Hernandez-Campos

September 11, 2013

Juan Hernandez-Campos came to America not knowing English and living with his family of five in a retrofitted garage apartment. As a Harvard University graduate, he attributes much of his success to the involvement of After-School All-Stars in his South Los Angeles community. He started middle school as a shy boy vulnerable to gang violence and graduated high school with a passion for soccer and plans to become an engineer. ASAS provided Juan with a foundation for academic and social growth that he still benefits from today.
